The Cascade County Cemetery Registry is a result of many thousands of volunteer hours by members of the Great Falls Genealogy Society. Information was obtained from a variety of sources. Some was obtained by walking cemeteries, some by researching cemetery files and some from studying old issues of newspapers. If the source of information was a monument or headstone only, some listings may show only the year of death.

This registry is unique in that it consists of all the known cemeteries, except the Pet Cemetery, in Cascade County area in one data file. In the late 1970's the Great Falls Genealogy Society library volunteers began to keep an obituary file.

There are very few listings in this registry later than 1982.

We cannot conduct research for obits, death records, etc.
To locate such records, contact the Great Falls Genealogy Society's  Research Department   They conduct research in their extensive library for very reasonable fees.

Note:There is an ongoing debate whether Chesnut Cemetery or
Chestnut Cemetery is the correct spelling.  I chose Chesnut
Cemetery because that is the way it is spelled on the gate
